Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key component to maximizing your gearing potential. It allows you to add bonus stats and bonuses on top of the value of your basic item.
Each upgrade template has several options that can be set up through the edition GUI. These options include upgrading reference and chances of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The system for upgrading weapons, armor and other gear in Cyberpunk 2077 has been revamped as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components can be found all over Night City, and the item you want to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. The game will display a preview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also show the component or material needed. If you do not have the necessary level of material or component needed to upgrade an item, the button will show "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include armor and weapons, a few trinkets, and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on each of these items can be filled with different upgrades that provide attribute bonuses or other effects while the equipment is being used. These upgrades can be obtained by crafting, bought from a seller, or obtained as rewards.
There are two kinds of upgrade components such as gems and universal upgrades. Universal upgrades that are similar to gemstones can be placed in any kind of equipment, and provide less of a benefit than other upgrade components. Obtaining these is fairly simple and they are dropped by enemies or looted all over the world. Gems are, however are obtained by disassembling objects or completing specific missions.
Upgrades can be taken out and replaced with new ones that fit in the slot of the weapon. However it will destroy any previous upgrades. Except for glyphs, which may be placed into gathering tools, other upgrades are not able to be removed or salvaged once they are placed in an item. Infusions can be put into legendary or upgraded equipment. Enhancements are only obtainable using a high-tier salvaging kit or an upgrade extractor.
Recycled items
In the last two world wars, the scarcity of natural resources led the world to embrace recycling. Recycling items like aluminum paper, plastic and even paper is commonplace. They are given a new purpose. Recycling saves energy and keeps carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Recycling is an excellent method to avoid landfills while also conserving natural resources. However, it is crucial to understand what can be recycled and what can't.
item upgrades make the error of putting the wrong items in the recycling bin. These items will not only cause harm to recycling equipment, but can also contaminate the stream. To avoid this, check the label and follow the guidelines of your recycling program. For instance cardboard shouldn't be mixed with steel or tin cans, and tissue must be disposed of in the garbage. Reroll tokens

The extras on an item increase with each level, but the amount they boost varies. The value of an extra is calculated as a percentage of total stats of the item and rerolling a token can change this value. The item's recycling value also increases as it is upgraded. The value of the item's principal stats increases by 3 every time it's upgraded, however the value of the additional stats may be different.
Click the dice icon in front of the item in your Inventory to reroll it. Alternately, you can hit the button in another lobby of a player and choose "Reroll". After rerolling the item, it will be removed from your inventory.
Rerolls can be purchased as well as other items in-game from Sagbe the in-game Token Shop trader. You can also earn free rerolls by redeeming active codes in Fire Force Online. These codes can be used for a variety items, including Reroll Tokens or Clan Reroll Tokens.
These rerolls are useful in the beginning of the game, as you need to build your inventory and dungeon gear. However, they are not the best way to boost your character's stats. Instead, you should focus on getting more skill points. You can also earn bonus points for completing event stages.
You can also roll your character's race with a race-reroll token that can be purchased from the Zen Market. This token can be redeemed through certain pack purchases or through the Token Shop. It allows you to change the race of your character only once. You can also get it as a reward by completing Meg's cases in the Port Sarim Invasion event.
Leveling
The stats of an item and its Power Level will increase when you level up an item as part of the upgrade process. It also increases the cost and amount of materials required to complete the upgrade process. The kind of material required is dependent on the type of item. Weapons, for instance make use of a combination of Destruction Stones (DS) and Guardian Stones. Armor makes use of Harmony Leapstones and Shards. The addition of additional materials could boost the chances of success, but it's not a guaranteed outcome.
The process of leveling uses an algorithm to determine how much damage or defense, magic attack or damage the upgraded item receives at the next upgrade. The formulas vary based on the weapon type and rarity. There is also a maximum level for each type of gear.
Once the item has reached its highest level, the NPC will show an upgrade option that lets the player add experience to the item and upgrade it to the next level. The NPC will display the price to upgrade the item. This will include the cost of Technology Points, if applicable. If you own an Accelerator, it will also include the cost. Accelerators are available on the Exchange. They can increase the Tech Points gained from an upgrade by 50 percent. However this bonus doesn't affect the item's Quality Chance, which resets when the item reaches its mark level.
The Upgrade NPC also provides the option of transferring gear. The Upgrade NPC will also offer a gear transfer service. This lets players save their progress and experience on a piece of equipment and transfer it to a different item in the same slot. This is a great option for players who wish to swap out their gear but don't have enough currency to purchase a completely new set.
